Nivea Creme Review
Nivea Creme Review
Nivea Creme is one of the oldest moisturizer you can find in the market. It is widely used around the world for more than a century already because according to their website, Nivea Creme was formulated in 1911. Unbelievable right? Through the years, the formulation of the product was continuously improved making it as one of the best moisturizer in the world. Is this a legit claim? Let’s see.
Why I have decided to try Nivea Creme?
To start with, I am a big fan of Myra Vitawhite Whitening Facial Moisturizer. That’s why I have not tried other moisturizers for a long period of time because I am a bit choosy when it comes to products that I use on my face. So what made me decide to try Nivea Creme? This product was accidentally endorsed to me by a friend when we met one sunny day. I feel tired and probably looked so haggard that day when I have noticed that my friend’s face was super blooming and fresh. It’s unfair! I can’t help but ask what it her secret and tadah! It’s Nivea Creme. So is it worth it?
What “I LIKE” about Nivea Creme?
1: It is affordable. 60ml only cost around P100+ for 2-3 months use for once or twice a day use. Sorry, I forgot to keep my receipt for the exact price.
2: Available at local stores here in the Philippines. I bought mine at Watsons.
3: Packaging is travel friendly. You can buy a smaller 30ml container.
4: A little amount of the product goes a long way.
5: No skin redness, swelling and other signs of allergy experienced.
6: Leaves my skin looks fresh, glowing and smooth.
7: With thick consistency but easily absorbs by the skin.
8: Can be used on both warm and cold weather, day and night.
9: No major pimple breakouts so far. I have finished my first jar already.
10: Can be used as make up remover. I tried using it to remove a stubborn waterproof liquid eyeliner and it worked well.
11: Can also be used as primer with a little help of Johnson’s Baby Powder (Pink) to create a matte-looking face and diminish oiliness.
What “I DON’T LIKE” about Nivea Creme?
1: It feels a little heavy right after application, however, heaviness wear off after few seconds when skin absorbs the product.
2: Scent smells off for me. It reminds me of my grandmother’s perfume. Hmm. You know what I mean. But it also wears off when skin absorbs the product.
3: Container design is prone to contamination from dust and other external contaminants.
4: Does not control my oiliness. Oil control score? 5/10.
5: No clear instructions on how to use it.
Would I RECOMMEND Nivea Creme?
If you have an oily acne prone skin, I would probably not recommend this product to you. But you might also consider using this because some of my friends with oily skin also use this product and they are loving this product very much. Personally speaking, I am also hooked to this product. It does give me that glow and fresh look everyday and I love it! For now, this is one of my must-haves. Nivea Creme is my NEW favorite moisturizer. You should try it too.
