It was already late at night, I am playing random youtube videos when a soulful voice caught my attention. It was the voice of Cyrus Villanueva, a 19y/o Filipino-Australian descent contestant, performing his own cover of “Dancing on my own” by Robyn on 5 Seat Challenge in X Factor Australia 2015.

Because of his clear and soulful voice quality. The message of the song were easily conveyed to the audience who gave him a standing ovation at the end of his performance. The way he delivered the song was heartfelt and amazing. If you will watch the full video, he broke into tears when people gave him a standing ovation. Though it is a little awkward to see a man crying on stage  For me, it is a sign of humility. I am impressed with his performance and attitude. I became an instant fan.

Since I can’t get over him, I have also watched his X Factor Australia 2015 audition video Earned it, which is one of my favorite soundtrack from the movie Fifty Shades of Grey. Though his image is simple and cute, I find his acoustic rendition of Earned it sexy and unique. He adds his own flavor on the songs he sing.

No doubt that he was gloriously included at X Factor Australia 2015 Top 12 to compete on the Live Shows. Now, he is on the road to his X Factor Australia success. Well, hopefully he grabs the title. I am keeping my eye on him.
