Success is actually inevitable, we will never know what will happen to our life. It is full of surprises.

In a short period of time, the love team tandem of Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza, popularly known as “Aldub” became the most popular love team in the Philippines at present time. According to reports, because of the tandem, Eat Bulaga’s hashtag #AldubEBforLove reaches 25.6 million twitter posts for their segment KalyeSerye. And is able to garner 45.7% on TV ratings in Mega Manila beating their rival show It’s Showtime at 11.9%.

23-years-old Alden Richards started his showbiz career last 2010, maybe many people have known him then, but for me, he is a stranger until he became a part of the popular “Aldub” love team. He was already given significant roles at GMA-7 soaps and shows, but I can tell he might have reached the peak of his career when he became the love team of Maine Mendoza.

Maine Mendoza, currently 20-years-old, is a newbie in the showbiz industry. Who would think that a simple amateur dub smash video will be her key to stardom. Unbelievable but true right?

I have watched some episodes of their segment “Juan for All, All for Juan” at Eat Bulaga. I find the segment funny and cheesy. For me, there is nothing special on the show. It is like a scripted reality show. They go to places to reach out their televiewers. Which I think is a plus factor why their show continues to become more popular day by day. I don’t know, I am not a fan of this love team, but I can’t deny that I am amazed by the love, support and interest people give to the show and to the love team. I am sure that both Richards and Mendoza are overwhelmed by the support of their fans.

The big question is, everything has an end in showbiz. Stars gradually or abruptly loses their fame. When would it be for this love team? Or would this love team be a real deal in real life? We’ll find out.
